Ma Humbugs Old Fashioned Sweet Shop opened its doors in June 2006, it's the perfect place to find all your old favourites from years gone by and even some new ones you never got round to trying (or just didn't have enough pocket money to afford when you were young!).

We stock over 200 varieties of sweets including Aniseed Balls, Chocolate Limes, Pear Drops, Sherbet Lemons and Strawberry Bon Bons to name but a few, all displayed in jars and weighed out for you at the counter. We also have a large range of school favourites such as Wham bars, Sherbet Fountains, Fizz Wiz (space dust), Dip Dabs, Fruit Salads, Black Jacks and Love Hearts.

In June 2007 we celebrated our 1st birthday and had a fantastic day. Dr Hilary Jones (pictured right with owner Nicky Pengilley), who opened the shop last year, came back to cut the birthday cake and join in the fun. It has been a truly fantastic year for us and everyone who visits loves the shop and enjoys reminiscing about the sweets they used to have when they were younger.

We also make our own delicious fudge on the premises and have at least 12 flavours on display such as Caramel, Mint & Chocolate, Strawberry and Cherry Vanilla Nut. If you prefer chocolate then why not try some of our lovely loose chocolates such as Caramel cups, Butterscotch Truffles and Passion Fruit Truffles. Do you remember pink sugar mice, fondant roses and marzipan fruits? We have those too, in fact we have so many things you better come and have a look for yourself!
